Bucket List

  1. Pet an Elephant. Ive always wanted to be face to face with an elephant. I’ve been to zoos and stuff but they don’t let you interact with most of the animals for safety reasons. Elephants are my favorite animal and being able to physically interact with them would make me really happy. Their skin isn’t the softest thing, but they’re super loving and adorable and I love elephants so much. Petting an elephant will always be the first thing on my bucket list because it is my top life priority to be surrounded by elephants whether if it’s in their natural habitat or at a zoo. I want to pet a baby elephant especially because they look so small but they actually weigh a lot and jump all around. It’s the cutest thing to be seen. If there’s a place where I can pet an elephant, I want to find it as soon as possible.    images.jpgdownload
  2. Skydiving. The most basic bucket list item of all time. However, not everybody goes through with it. I’ve heard other peoples stories about skydiving and how fun it is and i’ve also heard how scary it looks before you’re about to jump and you’re tempted to chicken out. I’ve been raised to be a daredevil and try anything. I’ve gone on every rollercoaster at Cedar Point, I’ve gone tubbing in the ocean, and I’ve climbed a glacier. Skydiving tops everything. I know I’m probably gonna be chicken out when I get down to it, but I plan on going with someone who will motivate me to do it so that I can check it off the list. download-1.jpgimages-2.jpg
  3. Helping a baby sea turtle make it to the water. I’ve seen so many videos of baby sea turtles squirming to return to the ocean and it is super cute. The baby turtles squirm with their little legs across the sand and let the waves carry them from the shore. The babies can do it by themselves, but sometimes birds like to swoop down and pick them up from the shore and eat them. The poor little baby turtles don’t deserve that. In order for the turtles to return safely, volunteers stand around to keep the birds away and give them a little directing to make sure they’re headed in the direction of the ocean. Sea turtles are my second favorite animal and being able to assist them home would be one of the greatest feelings ever.                              download-2.jpgimages-3
  4. Stop procrastinating. I’ve procrastinated for as long as I can remember. It stressed me out all through high school which caused me to come close to not graduating on time. Going into college, I came up with a strategy. If I got my assignments done and turned them in early and on time, I would reward myself with something I wanted to do. For example, I would go to a fall activity like hay rides or cider&donuts. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t be able to do anything. So far, this plan has really worked in my favor. Once the assignments are given, I start to work on them. Even if they’re not due until the end of the semester. Also, if I don’t get a good grade on the assignment, I don’t get to reward myself. This system has helped me get over my procrastination and I recommend it to people who need help with getting over theirs. download-3.jpg images-4.jpg
  5. Scuba diving. Have you ever seen those commercials where people are scuba diving at this super expense looking tropical island resort? That’s exactly what I don’t wanna do. I don’t want to scuba dive somewhere that looks set up. I wanna scuba dive somewhere that isn’t in a tourist spot but is also safe. There’s only one problem. I’m afraid of things touching me in the water. Especially fish. They brush up against you and then swim away so you can’t see them. It’s the scariest thing ever. I love swimming in lakes but I hate it at the same time. I can’t see the bottom or feel it (depending on how far out I am) and my head makes me think that something bad is gonna happen. Scuba diving will hopefully help me get over that fear by actually being able to see what is around me in the water.                            images-5.jpg images-6.jpg
  6. Go on a road trip with my significant other. Road trips are one of my favorite things to do and to be able to do it with the person I love would make it even better. Some trips can be really long and dreadful, but I believe that if you’re traveling with the right person, the time will go by fast. It doesn’t really matter where the destination is, the only thing that matters to me is doing one of my favorite things with my favorite person. download-5.jpg download-4
  7. Live in a house by a lake. Like I said previously, I love the water. I’ve been swimming for as long as I can remember. I’ve always wanted to live in a lake house to be able to wake up and look out on the water every morning. Hearing the waves crash along the shore is one of the most soothing sounds ever. Walking along the sand and feeling the waves crash up on my feet feels amazing and to be able to do that every morning would be absolutely amazing. One of my close friends’ grandparents has a lake house and whenever we used to go and stay the night, I would think about how wonderful it must be to live so close to one of nature’s many wonders. images-7.jpg download-6.jpg
  8. Volunteer at a dog shelter. I love dogs more than any other pet in the world. Dogs are loving and kind and soft. Some people believe dogs can be vicious and mean but it’s all based on how they’re raised and what kind of environment they live in. Every time I visit a shelter, I want to take all of the dogs home with me. You can just see the joy in their eyes when you walk up to them. It’s the best feeling in the world. If I were able to take them all home, I would in a heartbeat. However, my mom doesn’t want any more dogs in my house. Volunteering at a dog shelter would give me the opportunity to spend time with a bunch of dogs and help them out at the same time! I want to cross this off my list as soon as possible.                             download-7 images-8.jpg
  9. Surfing. My balance is pretty bad but surfing looks super fun. I’ve seen a bunch of movies with surfing in it and I know it’s not always real but it looks amazing. The only things keeping me from surfing is traveling and not being eaten by a shark. I know it’s highly unlikely to happen, but i’ve read enough stories to make me cautious about it. Sharks are very scary and I really don’t want to be face to face with them. Surfing looks really fun, but I need to be cautious about where i’m going to try it.                    images-9.jpg images-10.jpg
  10. Get a tattoo. I’ve thought about getting a tattoo ever since my grandma passed away 5 years ago. She was my best friend and she was always there for me. I miss her every single day. She made an impression on everyone she met. Everybody loved her. I’ve always wanted to get a tattoo and I want to have something I can look at to remind me of her every day. I’m going to get it on my right wrist because my right hand is my dominate hand and I will see it every time I write something (which tends to be a lot). There’s some other tattoos I wanna get with different meanings, but this one is the most important to me. These are two tattoos I also want to get in the future.download-8.jpg images-11.jpg
